“Whirr,” is one of my favourite pieces that follows on after the series, Resonance of the Trees. This artwork is a verre églomisé, or reverse painting on glass is created with genuine 24ct gold on glass.

Inspired by alchemical artists such as Kepler and Maier, who etched geometry and wayfinding lines into their works. “Whirr” explores tree communication through my signature cymatics technique. By fixing sound vibrations onto glass, I convey the structured language and energetic connections of tree root systems. This piece delves into how trees communicate through roots, air waves, wind, light, and atmospheric energy, aligning cymatics patterns with intricate root structures.

Whirr offers a glimpse into nature’s hidden symphony and interconnectedness, offering a glimpse into the hidden symphony of tree communication.

It’s challenging capturing the true beauty of these verre églomise artworks in photographs due to the gold and glass reflections. So I have also made a video which you can view on the videos page. Here you can you can see the reflections of the etched gold tree as well as the brilliant colours of the pigments used in the cymatics vibrations.
