Whirr

I’m very happy to present “Whirr,” one of my favorite newest pieces that follows on after the series, Resonance of the Trees. This artwork is a verre églomisé, or reverse painting on glass, crafted with genuine 24ct gold in glass. 

 

The challenge of capturing its beauty in photographs due to the gold and glass reflections has been met with multiple images and a video, so that you can see the reflections of the etched gold tree as well as the brilliant colours of the pigments used in the cymatics vibrations.

 

Inspired by alchemical artists such as Kepler and Maier who etched straight lines and directional wayfinding into their works, “Whirr” explores tree communication through my signature cymatics technique. By fixing sound vibrations onto glass, I convey the structured language and energetic connections of tree root systems. This piece delves into how trees communicate through roots, air waves, wind, light, and atmospheric energy, aligning cymatics patterns with intricate root structures.
